When it comes to quality and safety, torquing isn't just a step in our process- it's a standard we proudly stand by. At NS Controls, we've established a system that adds layers of verification and transparency to ensure every connection meets our expectations and yours.
It Takes Two to Torque
Our process always includes two sets of hands and eyes. One technician performs the torque with the appropriate calibrated tool, while a second verifies the torque is completed correctly and signs off on our Torque Signoff Sheet (NSF-OPS-009). This teamwork reduces error, increases accountability, and reinforces the quality of every build.
Marked and Documented
You’ll never have to guess whether something was torqued. We make it visible:
Torque paint is applied to show that hardware has been torqued.
When paint isn’t possible, we place a "Torqued by NS Controls" sticker in the area.
Sharpie indicators help mark key torque points.
And yes - if you’d like a record, we’re happy to share the torque documentation. Just ask.
Welcoming Customer Witnesses
For projects like bussed MCCs or MV gear, some customers want to witness torquing themselves. We welcome it. In these cases, we invite you into the process and allow your team to act as the official sign-off witness. It’s another way we ensure trust and quality go hand-in-hand.
Why It Matters
Every torque matters. Each connection is part of a much larger system - and the integrity of that system depends on the consistency and care we put into every bolt. By following our structured, transparent approach, NS Controls delivers work you can rely on.
